DIY Christmas Gift? YES PLEASE! Christmas can be SO expensive – and let’s be honest – sometimes not as thoughtful as it should be. Sometimes it’s easier to grab the gift card or the generic gift that gets the job done and doesn’t require much brain power or $$$. But wouldn’t it be nice if we could do something easy, THOUGHTFUL, inexpensive, and personal? Yes. The answer is yes guys.
Enter – Candied Pecans. For starters – everyone loves food. Seriously. You CANNOT go wrong by gifting someone good food. So will they like it? Yes. Number 2 – How Sweet! You’ve just shown the person you’re gifting that you actually took the time to MAKE them something. People notice. 3. It’s so easy. Like one of the easiest recipes ever. And most delicious. And you can make a TON at one time. It’s a no lose idea people!
I make these every season because my family LOVES to eat them, and this year I realized that they would make the PERFECT DIY Christmas gift. I cooked them up in big batches, divided them up in cute little mason jars. Tied a pretty ribbon around them with a card (that I actually wrote in – guys…stop assuming the words in the card are enough…people want to know that you were really thinking about them when you gave them this card), and hand delivered them. It didn’t cost me a fortune, it didn’t require me to go out into the shopping frenzy that is December (hello grocery delivery), and it REALLY made my loved ones FEEL LOVED.
I will say – we ate so many of these along the way that we MAY have had to make double what we originally planned because we couldn’t control ourselves…but it was still SO very worth it.
Here’s the Recipe: Candied Pecans
If you make it – comment and let me know what you think!!!
