Breastfeeding Session in the East Nash Greenhouse

I adore all of my sessions – truly. But some sessions speak directly to my artist soul and my love of all things motherhood. THIS was one of those sessions. Breastfeeding photography is a passion of mine and it’s only recently something that people in this area are becoming interested in – mainly because many mamas aren’t aware of it! “Breastfeeding Photography Nashville TN” just isn’t something that sees a ton of Google searches. With GORGEOUS sessions like this – I aim to change that. Mother’s DESERVE beautiful portrait of their breastfeeding relationships with their children.

A Motherhood Session – A Breastfeeding Session – A Creative Dream in the East Nash Greenhouse

This session involved several months of scheduling and rescheduling and planning and designing – and it was all so worth it. The East Nash Greenhouse is a handcrafted structure designed and built by the loveliest East Nash residents. A true love for reclaimed windows and all things plant life brought this gorgeous space into being.

The greenhouse is fairly small and really pushes me to get creative with angles and perspectives. I don’t place my clients in stiff, unnatural poses, and I NEVER expect children to sit still and smile, so my favorite images in this session are images where Alesha and her girls were alone in the greenhouse.

Photographing the girls through the hazy windows and deep green leaves seriously inspired me and lit up my heart! Alesha had space to laugh with and love on her daughters without the camera immediately in front of her, and I feel like it brought out even more dreamy, authentic connection.
