Motherhood Photography | The Walden Family Mini Session

 

One of my very favorite things about Motherhood photography is the fact that I get to watch my clients’ beautiful babies grow up. I was so excited for Kara to bring her kiddos in for the annual Celebrating Motherhood event because I knew sweet little Collins was going to be so big and squishy and precious! I had photographed Collins when she was still in her mama’s belly and as a brand new, shiny, adorable newborn. At 6 months old, I knew she had grown so much already and I couldn’t wait to see how Nolan was growing into his big brother role.

 

 

Baby Collins  – A Little Sunbeam for her Motherhood Mini Session

 

Collins came in ready to shine for her motherhood photography mini session. She was all smiles and baby cheeks and cute little baby teeth from the minute she came through the door. Her mama was a little stressed, and I found out that Collins actually had a REALLY BIG medical procedure coming up just a few short weeks after our session. A little cloud of worry and nervousness had been hovering over the Walden family as they navigated uncertain territory with Collin’s health.

 

I hold the Celebrating Motherhood event every year because I know first hand how hard it can be to prioritize self care as a mother. I want this Motherhood Photography event to wrap mamas up in care that they often don’t have time to give themselves. Kara ended up being the perfect example of why I love these mini sessions and how important it is to love on the mamas in our lives. In a season of extra stress and worry, this event was an opportunity for Kara to just love on her babies and make memories. Relish in their sweet snuggles and tight hugs and slobbery kisses.

 

The fact that Collins came in all smiles was icing on the sweetest cake. She was ready to create the most precious memories with her big brother and her amazing mama and the photographs we created were such a sweet spot of light and love to brighten up the Walden family as they navigated the coming weeks.

I’m SO thrilled to say that she did amazing and the Walden family is having a happy and healthy summer together at home! I can’t wait to photograph them for their next milestone!
