Celebrating Motherhood with Spring Mini Sessions

As a Motherhood Photographer I am always SO EXCITED for each year’s Spring Mini Sessions. Fresh flowers, Mother’s Day vibes, sweet babies loving on their mommies – it honestly doesn’t get better. My yearly Celebrating Motherhood featuring spring mini sessions for local mamas is the first big event of every new year and it gets me feeling so creative and excited after the slower winter season. With some unpredictable spring-time rain this year, I decided to host our Motherhood Event spring mini sessions in the studio. No risk of getting rained out when we’re safely inside!

Spring Mini Sessions mean Motherhood Gift Bags!

I knew I wanted this event to feel extra special for all the mamas that participated, so I partnered with a local florist to create wildflower bouquets for each mama. To make our spring minis even sweeter, every mama took home a incredible bath soak sourced from a local maker and seriously delicious chocolate. Everything is a little more fun when surprise Mother’s Day gifts come with it.

Mommy and Me Mini Sessions – but Make it Boho

I initially wanted to try out the “trendy” look of tying flowers from the ceiling of the studio, but the more I thought about it, the more I realized it was quickly becoming over-done. I really try hard to provide unique and creative mini session sets for my clients and it’s an amazingly fun way for me to express my creativity, so I decided to go into uncharted territory. I started gathering things from my prop collections and snagging things from local shops that made my heart skip a beat and feel excited for spring. Everything was leaning in a very boho, warm, floral explosion direction so I crafted and re-crafted the set until it was absolutely perfect. Spring Mini Sessions that wouldn’t be found in any other photography studio – a unique look and experience that my clients would love.
