Maternity Monday

 

Happy Monday! I ADORE baby bumps (and I’m kind of missing mine) so I thought it might be fun to try something new. I’m going to start posting a fav maternity photograph every Monday! My goal is just for this to serve you in whatever way is best for you.  Maybe it will help you decide whether you want an outdoor maternity session or an indoor session. Perhaps it will just remind you of your own baby bump and make you feel happy on a stressful Monday morning.  Maybe it will inspire you to go out and create art of your own!

A photograph of me to get the ball rolling! This is my own outdoor maternity session from my most recent pregnancy with Rosemary. I don’t often post black and white photographs to social media, so I wanted to kick things off with a black and white image here. My pregnancy wasn’t easy, but this photograph brings back all the GOOD emotions and warm, fuzzy feelings that I had. That’s always my goal when I’m photographing a maternity session. I want mamas to look back and remember how they felt overall. Not the nausea or the bed rest or the swollen legs. I want to remind mamas of how their heart felt while it was expanding. How they smiled when they felt those little hands and feet start kicking. The feeling of being someone’s first home.
